This design enables two-stage cryogenic cooling:
First stage: Thermal shielding or pre-cooling by the secondary cooling circuit with an output temperature ≥80K
Second stage: cryogenic cooling by the primary cooling circuit with an output temperature >15K
Further configurations are possible.
In the low-temperature circuit, pressurized helium gas is generally used as the cooling medium. Neon-based solutions are also possible. The gas circulation is carried out by maintenance-free cryofan gas pumps, which are optimised for minimal heat input into the cooling circuit.
The available cooling capacity can be scaled with multisystem systems.
